Specialties - Critical Care Medicine, Pediatrics

Overview
The mission of this annual conference pediatric critical care colloquium is to create a forum for ongoing discussion of the care of critically ill children, not only as it relates to pediatric critical care physicians, but to engage with other subspecialties that care for critically ill children. The theme of the 2018 colloquium is “At the Interface of Practice and Science”, highlighting the new partnerships and advancements we are making in the pediatric critical care realm. Attendees will acquire knowledge of the latest clinical and research advancements with the guidance of eminent leaders in the field of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. Practical information, as well as new developments will be covered. The conference is targeted to all allied health care professionals who care for critically ill children. Pediatric critical care physicians, pediatric critical care nurses, advanced practice nurses, hospitalists and respiratory therapists will all find material directly relevant to their practice at this conference.

The program is organized in plenary sessions, debates, interactive case presentations, and oral and poster abstract presentations. We plan to promote fellows and trainees of all levels and invite them to continue their growth as practitioners with connections with the PCCC. As with past PCCC programs, the format is particularly designed to encourage open discussion between meeting participants and question-and-answer periods with lecturers.
