Overview

This is a 10-month longitudinal program that involves learning curriculum development and evaluation through didactics, discussions, and a mentored curriculum development project. The program is taught and projects are mentored by international experts in curriculum development and evaluation, who have published the widely used text on the subject: Curriculum Development for Medical Education: A Six-Step Approach.  By the end of the program, participants will have designed, piloted, and formulated plans for the implementation of a curriculum in medical education relevant to the needs of their own institution as well as to their own professional careers.


Objectives
  1. Describe the knowledge and apply the skills necessary to effectively design, implement, and evaluate a curriculum.
  2. Design, pilot, and formulate plans for the implementation of a curriculum in medical education relevant to the needs of their learners and institution as well as to their own professional career(s).
