Meet the Professor Agenda and Map

Topics in Clinical Medicine began 64 years ago with the late Dr. Philip Tumulty's belief that faculty should communicate not only its expertise in internal medicine, but also its collegiality and warmth. To maximize the intermingling between faculty and guests, Dr. Tumulty held the course at Hopkins (not a hotel), provided daily lunches with the faculty and conducted a variety of social events. The current course directors are Drs. Gail Berkenblit, Daniel Brotman, and Kimberly Peairs. In 2019, Topics remains a course dedicated to providing the best summaries of the advances in internal medicine and extending the hospitality of Johns Hopkins faculty.
