The Kennedy Krieger Institute Neurodevelopmental Educational Collaborative via Tele-Conferencing (KKI-NECT) program aims to expand the workforce capacity to evaluate and manage neurodevelopmental concerns (defined here as risk factors and/or symptoms of neurological, developmental, behavioral, or mental health disorders) and neurological disorders in children. The programs infrastructure is built on a hub and spokes design known as the ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) model.

1. Recognize the prevalence of pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders.
2. Use screening tools for early identification of pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders.
3. Apply office-based interventions to manage pediatric neurodevelopmental disorders.
4. Practice creating and managing appropriate referrals for intervention and specialty care.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Kennedy Krieger Institute. The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
