DESCRIPTION

This activity has been designed to help clinicians in ambulatory health systems develop health information technology systems, safety surveillance; improve communication among providers and patients, develop and implement interventions to better prepare and support patients. Performance data on each module will be used to assess the educational impact. This data will be collected by pre test vs. post-test performance.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity is intended for internal medicine residents and practicing internists.

After participating in this activity, the participant will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Diagnose and manage medical problems commonly encountered by the practicing internist.
  • Identify appropriate practices for prescribing medication.
  • Describe acceptable preventive care practices for the practicing internist.
