Overview
The Johns Hopkins Neurocritical Care Conference: The Year in Review with Code ICH is designed to meet the needs of physicians who will be taking the recently approved ABPN ACGME Neurocritical Care Boards. The enduring material is a compendium of lectures highlighting recent advances and would be of value for the physician who wishes to simply remain abreast of the field of Neurocritical Care. The activity was provided by the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and was organized by the pioneering Division of Neurocritical Care to augment existing data to improve outcomes.

Objectives
  1. Recognize the core diagnosis and pathology for care delivered in the NCCU.
  2. Identify recent advances in the care of patients in the NCCU.
  3. Explain the use of monitoring equipment in the NCCU.
  4. Recognize and explain the appropriate use of procedures which are limited to the NCCU.
  5. Discuss and outline the fundamentals of care in the NCCU.

Accreditation

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this enduring material for a maximum of 19.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

OTHER CREDITS
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) accepts AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM from organizations accredited by the ACCME.

National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) PAs may claim a maximum of 19.25 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

This CE Program has been approved by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists for Category A CEUs.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is authorized by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Psychologists as a provider of continuing education.  The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine maintains responsibility for this program.  A certificate for 19.25 CEUs will be awarded upon completion of this activity.  

The Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners certifies that this program meets the criteria for 19.25 credit hours of Category 1 or ­­1.925 CEUs of continuing education for social workers licensed in Maryland.   The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is an approved sponsor of the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners for continuing education credits for licensed social workers in Maryland.

The Johns Hopkins University has approved this activity for 19.25 contact hours for non-physicians.
