Overview

Now in its 19th year, this two-day symposium has been planned for the providers who care for patients with rheumatic disease. Given the wide variety of rheumatologic disorders, and an ever increasing number of diagnostic procedures and treatment options, it is necessary to provide clinicians with information about strategies for the early diagnosis of these conditions, novel state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, and opportunities to utilize the most effective treatments to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Objectives
  1. Describe latest techniques in managing psoriatic arthritis patients.
  2. Identify changes you may make in treating patients with ankylosing spondylitis or non-radiographic spondyloarthritis.
  3. Discuss the patient with lupus and new treatments
  4. Recognize new treatments in PMR and other vasculitides.
  5. Describe the latest in managing inflammatory myositis.
  6. Identify how Lyme disease is diagnosed and managed, especially Lyme arthritis.
  7. Discuss the role of CAR-T cells in future therapies.

American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 16.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

HOW TO OBTAIN CREDIT
Post activity, an online evaluation will be available to attendees to evaluate the activity and individual presentations and to identify future educational needs. Upon completion of the evaluation, the learner must attest to the number of hours in attendance. Credits earned will be added to the learner’s transcript and immediately available for print. For ABIM credit, a post test is also required and can be found in the same location as the evaluation. The last day to access the evaluation and post-test and to attest to your credits is November 6, 2023.

POST-TEST
A post-test will be conducted at the conclusion of the activity. A grade of at least 70% within three attempts is needed to receive CME credit.
