Objectives
  1. Implement recommendations from recent pediatric journals and guidelines.
  2. Diagnose, treat, and refer patients with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
  3. Consider the advantages of a clinically integrated network.
  4. Describe the indications and make appropriate referrals for pelvic reconstructive surgery.
  5. Apply new information about the social determinants of antibiotic prescribing.
  6. Prescribe shorter antibiotic courses of therapy when appropriate.
  7. Diagnose and manage children with varying degrees of atopic dermatitis.
  8. Apply new communication tools to reduce unnecessary antibiotic use.
  9. Recognize and manage children who develop sleep disorders after a COVID-19 diagnosis.
  10. Accurately diagnose and manage classic infections that you may not see as much as you used to.
  11. Screen for drug abuse in teens and make support recommendations.
  12. Apply new diagnosis and management recommendations for metabolic syndrome in children.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the Florida Board of Nursing.
