Overview
Many advances have been made in diagnostic modalities and treatment options for thyroid and parathyroid disease. Management concepts in these tumors are in constant flux medically and surgically. This course will provide up-to-date information regarding the application of radiofrequency ablation technology in the management of benign thyroid nodules.

Objectives
  1. Summarize the risks and potential benefits of RFA for thyroid nodules
  2. Describe the method by which RFA functions
  3. Identify the appropriate settings and methods for safe RFA application
