Overview
This one day course will address common pediatric musculoskeletal conditions and will provide a forum to discuss office management and referral criteria in order to enhance the care of pediatric patients locally. Small group educational sessions will be offered to address the educational need of the target audience.

Objectives
  1. Identify key developmental changes of the foot and ankle as a child grows.
  2. Identify 3 effects of obesity on the growing skeleton.
  3. Identify the primary causes of leg length discrepancy.
  4. Identify how to recognize a muscle disorder in the developing child.
  5. Discuss the treatment of a femur fracture in a child.

Accreditation

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
