Overview
Changes in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery are occurring at a rapid pace, including advances in transoral robotic surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, diagnosis and treatment of patients with head and neck cancer, and the assessment and treatment of hearing loss. The goal of this course is to provide health care practitioners with a comprehensive update on current practices in all fields of otolaryngology–head and neck surgery.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for practicing otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons, nurses, speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Some course lectures will also be intended for facial plastic surgeons, endocrine surgeons, neurosurgeons, and pediatricians.

LATE FEE AND REFUND POLICY
A $25 late fee applies to registrations received after 5:00 p.m. ET on February 14, 2021. A handling fee of $25 will be deducted for cancellation. An additional fee may apply for cancellation of other events, including workshops and social activities. Refund requests must be received by fax or mail by February 14, 2021. No refunds will be made thereafter. Transfer of registration to another Johns Hopkins activity in lieu of cancellation is not possible.

Objectives
  1. Recognize differential diagnosis in common Laryngology conditions like globus pharyngeus and hoarseness.
  2. Explain advances in management of vertigo, tinnitus and ear surgery.
  3. Describe management of thyroid lesions such as scarless surgery and radiofrequency ablation.
