Overview

The goal of the Foundations of Teaching and Learning course is to build the collective teaching capacity of healthcare educators, in order to ensure teaching excellence and educator satisfaction in their teaching and learning roles.

Faculty - proceed to Registration 

A limited number of spots are available to trainees (medical students, residents and non-faculty fellows) at no charge. Trainees must contact Dr. Rachel Levine at [email protected] to inquire about availability to participate.

Location to be determined, participants will be notified by email prior to the session. Course is limited to 35 participants. 

Objectives
  1. List 3 features of a supportive Learning Environment.
  2. Name 3 adult learning principles.
  3. List 5 important features of formative feedback.
  4. List 2 educational design strategies to enhance teaching in lectures and 2 educational design strategies to en hance teaching in small group settings.
  5. Compare and contrast several strategies to motivate and empower learners in various teaching settings.
