This activity is intended for pediatricians, neurodevelopmentalists, developmental behavioral pediatricians, child neurologists, child psychiatrists, educators, nurses, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, psychologists, speech-language pathologists physical therapists, physician assistants and social workers.

LATE FEE AND REFUND POLICY
A $25 late fee applies to registrations received after 5:00 p.m. EST on March 15, 2022. A handling fee of $25 will be deducted for cancellation. Refund requests must be received by fax or mail by March 15, 2022. No refunds will be made thereafter. Transfer of registration to another Johns Hopkins activity in lieu of cancellation is not possible.

Objectives
  1. Define severe neurologic impairment and distinguish it from complex care.
  2. List three techniques to prevent pneumonia in patients with severe neurologic impairment.
  3. Discuss the later effects that occur after a primary injury.
  4. Utilize the principles presented to create a comprehensive management program for their patients with severe neurologic impairment.
  5. Evaluate the application of stem cell or gene therapy for children with severe neurologic impairment.
