Overview
Changes in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery are occurring at a rapid pace, including advances in head and neck cancer treatment, new approaches to patients with cough and laryngeal disorders, and emerging techniques in skull base surgery, management of sinus and nasal disease, and the assessment and treatment of ear disorders. The goal of this course is to provide health care practitioners with a comprehensive update on current practices in all fields of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for practicing otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons, nurses, speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Some course lectures will also be intended for facial plastic surgeons, endocrine surgeons, neurosurgeons, and pediatricians.

LATE FEE AND REFUND POLICY
A $25 late fee applies to registrations received after 5:00 p.m. EST on February 20, 2022. A handling fee of $25 will be deducted for cancellation. Refund requests must be received by fax or mail by February 20, 2022. No refunds will be made thereafter. Transfer of registration to another Johns Hopkins activity in lieu of cancellation is not possible.

Objectives
  1. Recognize differential diagnosis in common Laryngology conditions like globus pharyngeus and hoarseness.
  2. Explain the advances in management of vertigo, tinnitus and ear surgery.
  3. Describe the management of thyroid lesions such as scarless surgery and radiofrequency ablation.
