Overview

This 4-hour introductory workshop provides a brief overview of curriculum development principles and practical exercises in applying some of the most important curriculum development steps. It introduces participants to resources and faculty development opportunities for further developing one's curriculum development skills.



Objectives
  1. Articulate why a scholarly and systematic approach to curriculum development is beneficial.
  2. Describe the six-steps of curriculum development and the importance of congruence among them.
  3. Recognize additional resources that are available for curriculum development skills improvement.
