Overview

The Empowered Transitions: Menopause, Wellness, and Healthy Aging course is organized by the Johns Hopkins Center for Menopause and Midlife Health, and is designed for healthcare professionals who care for women throughout the menopause transition and beyond. Through comprehensive, multidisciplinary instruction, participants will strengthen their understanding of the diagnosis and management of menopause and its associated conditions while gaining practical strategies to deliver individualized, patient centered care. The curriculum emphasizes the latest evidence, clinical best practices, and real world application to help providers confidently address the diverse health concerns that arise during midlife and healthy aging. Course topics will explore the wide range of conditions that uniquely affect women during and after menopause, including management of menopause symptoms through hormonal and nonhormonal treatment options, sexual health and use of testosterone therapy, musculoskeletal syndrome of menopause, weight management, and the long term impact of hormonal changes across multiple organ systems. Faculty presentations will integrate current research with clinical expertise, highlighting practical approaches that participants can immediately incorporate into their practice. Led by a distinguished multidisciplinary faculty from Johns Hopkins alongside internationally recognized invited keynote speakers, the course features engaging lectures, case based discussions, and interactive learning experiences designed to strengthen clinical knowledge, enhance decision making, and improve the care of women throughout the menopause transition and beyond. By the conclusion of the course, participants will be better equipped to diagnose menopause and related conditions, develop and communicate individualized treatment plans, and provide comprehensive, evidence based care that supports women through midlife and healthy aging.
