Overview
This online course offers a comprehensive and practical overview of genitourinary (GU) pathology, designed for practicing pathologists, residents, and healthcare professionals involved in diagnostic pathology. Covering key topics across the prostate, bladder, kidney, testis, and adrenal gland, the course emphasizes histologic interpretation, diagnostic pitfalls, grading staging systems, and integration of molecular findings. Through expert led lectures, case based discussions, and interactive modules, participants will enhance their diagnostic accuracy and stay up to date with current WHO classifications and practicechanging updates. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with essential tools to confidently navigate both routine and challenging GU pathology cases.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Differentiate renal tumors with clear cell morphology and fibromyomatous stroma by integrating histologic features, immunohistochemical profiles, and molecular findings, and apply these distinctions to refine diagnostic approaches in routine practice.
  2. Choose and interpret immunohistochemical markers for the accurate identification of individual components in mixed germ cell tumors, including embryonal carcinoma, seminoma, yolk sac tumor, teratoma, choriocarcinoma, and intratubular germ cell neoplasia in situ.
  3. Implement contemporary prostate cancer grading principles, including recognition of challenging architectural patterns, and address common diagnostic pitfalls encountered in daily practice.
  4. Distinguish primary urothelial carcinoma from secondary involvement of the bladder by recognizing key morphologic features and applying appropriate diagnostic criteria.
  5. Evaluate adrenal gland neoplasms using immunohistochemistry to assess tumor origin and functional status, and interpret staining patterns in relation to clinical implications and patient management.
  6. Integrate histologic, immunophenotypic, and molecular data across genitourinary organ systems to improve diagnostic accuracy and confidence in complex and borderline cases.
