Overview

Topics in Clinical Medicine began over 69th years ago with the late Dr. Philip Tumultys belief that faculty should communicate not only its expertise in internal medicine, but also its collegiality and warmth. To maximize the intermingling between faculty and guests, Dr. Tumulty held the course at Hopkins (not a hotel), provided daily lunches with the faculty and conducted a variety of social events. The current course directors are Drs. Gail Berkenblit, Daniel Brotman, and Kimberly Peairs. In 2026, Topics remains a course dedicated to providing the best summaries of the advances in internal medicine and extending the hospitality of Johns Hopkins faculty.

In honor of our 70th Anniversary, we are thrilled to welcome back a distinguished lineup of speakers.  Join us for a celebratory reception at The National Aquarium in Baltimore and take advantage of our 'Bring a Friend' discount - save $70 on your registration!
