Overview

This course is designed for pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinicians who care for children and adolescents. Participants will receive comprehensive updates on a wide range of primary care topics, including Use of AI in the Clinical Setting, Neutropenia in Primary Care, Newborn Screening and Genetic Testing, Firearm Safety Counseling, Opioid Use Disorders, Pharmacologic Treatment of Obesity, Common Sports Injuries, Cardiomyopathies and more.  Through a combination of expert led lectures and interactive workshops, this activity will provide clinically relevant, evidence based information to support best practices and improve health outcomes in pediatric populations.


Objectives
  1. Apply the latest immunization recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) to routine pediatric practice.
  2. Demonstrate effective communication strategies for addressing vaccine hesitancy among families.
  3. Identify best practices for diagnosing and managing eating disorders in children and adolescents, including early warning signs and referral criteria.
  4. Describe common barriers to managing pediatric hypertension and apply evidence based strategies to overcome these challenges.
  5. Implement current guidelines for the evaluation and treatment of migraine headaches in children and teens, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic options.
