Overview
This course consists of didactic presentations and small group workshops to keep pediatricians, family practitioners and other child health clinicians up to date on a number of clinical practice recommendations relevant topics to pediatric primary care. Some of the topics to be covered include: childhood obesity; asthma; substance use disorders; food allergies; atopic dermatitis; rheumatologic disorders; gender affirming care; syncope; depression and suicide; immunizations; hypertension; contraception and much more.

Objectives
  1. Discuss the latest immunization recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
  2. Discuss strategies for talking with families who express vaccine hesitancy.
  3. Identify effective ways to diagnose and manage eating disorders in children and adolescents.
  4. Using a specific example, please describe any barriers you have encountered in managing youth with hypertension.
  5. Discuss the latest recommendations in evaluating and treating children and teens with migraine headaches.
