Who should attend:
Full-time faculty physicians and healthcare trainees of any level

This is a 4-hour CME course being held on two separate days, offering learners the opportunity to choose which day to attend. This course focuses on improving clinical practice in the treatment of patients with disabilities. The content is evidence-based, up-to-date, and interactive, featuring short lectures followed by small group case discussions, and concluding with a panelist discussion with participants. By the end of the course, participants will be able to effectively confront ableism, articulate the most recent evidence regarding the inequities impacting people with disabilities, approach clinical encounters with more inclusive attitudes and behaviors, and pursue future opportunities to make disability-conscious healthcare education accessible to more peers and colleagues. Participants will be better equipped to care for and advocate for any patient who is vulnerable to bias and mistreatment in an ableist healthcare system.
