Trends in Pediatric Medicine is a recurring lecture series addressing the current "hot topics" in pediatric medicine aimed at general practitioners. Experts in their area will provide education using evidence-based research across many pediatric specialties addressing current needs and concerns in pediatric medicine. Takeaways from this series will include tips from specialists on patient management and triage within the general pediatric office, and determining best practices and beneficial process improvements in pediatric medicine overall.

Objectives
  1. Review latest evidence-based guidelines for practical pediatric topics.
  2. Apply principles of evidence-based medicine and current data findings to determine clinical diagnosis and formulate a treatment plan.
  3. Recognize when to refer and engage a specialist in a treatment plan.
