Overview
Johns Hopkins Activity and Mobility Promotion (AMP) stands behind a systematic approach to combating hospital immobility and improving patient outcomes. While evidence supports the benefits of mobility, implementing these interventions requires creating a new collaborative culture. Our on-demand library offers up to 24 hours of content from JH-AMP foundations to advanced topics you can watch before and after the conference. In addition to the on-demand library, to optimize learner experience, we have gone hybrid with up to 20 distinct hours of in-person interaction, innovation, mentoring, and networking. This conference bridges the gap between research and clinical implementation.

Objectives
  1. Appraise the evidence supporting mobility in the hospital.
  2. Describe mobility within the context of safe-patient handling and other hospital safety initiatives.
  3. Explain the tenets and methods of a structured quality improvement process for developing and implementing a system mobility program in the acute hospital setting.
  4. Explain current practice and interdisciplinary roles in an adulty mobility program.
  5. Describe how to create a clinical culture that recognizes the importance of data.
  6. Develop clinical questions that can be answered using mobility data.
  7. Integrate mobility data into ongoing quality improvement efforts.
  8. Identify stakeholder barriers to implementing an activity and mobility project.
  9. Engage staff by increasing knowledge of functional assessment tools.
  10. Describe how to implement the age-friendly framework in to your hospital.
  11. Facilitate activity and mobility reporting on all patients.
  12. Describe opportunities to develop an integrated safe patient mobility model.
  13. Identify interdisciplinary best practices to facilitate activity and mobility.
  14. Identify three new communication techniques to integrate in standard of care to help patients engage in their healthcare.
  15. Correctly determine a patient's level of readiness for change and identify an appropriate corresponding intervention.
