Overview
The advancements in treatment options for thyroid and parathyroid disease has resulted in removing less and preserving more.This course will provide up-to-date information regarding treatment options including transoral thyroidectomy and radiofrequency ablation of benign thyroid nodules for patients with thyroid and parathyroid disease. The course is focused around these novel treatment modalities in an effort to provide knowledge and hands on teaching for safe delivery of state-of-the-art care for patients.

Objectives
  1. Evaluate advances in remote access approaches to the thyroid and Radiofrequency Ablation of thyroid disease.
  2. Discuss the indications and contraindications of remote access thyroid surgery and Radiofrequency Ablation of thyroid nodules.
  3. Explain the evaluation and preoperative workup necessary prior to remote access thyroidectomy.
  4. Discuss hands on remote access and thermal ablation thyroid techniques.
