Overview
The Wilmer Residents Association meeting is a live, multiple speaker, one day CME accredited course. In attendance will be all Wilmer faculty, residents, fellows, and many from the outside ophthalmic community. The topics are of both clinical as well as basic research interests in the eye sciences.

Objectives
  1. discuss the etiology and management for patients with lacrimal duct obstruction.
  2. discuss the rates of conversion of pediatric glaucoma suspects to glaucoma.
  3. classify the severity of glaucoma surgery failures: a case control analysis.
  4. discuss approaches that increase transplanted retinal ganglion cell survival.
  5. define the social determinants of health that determine eye care use for Medicare beneficiaries with diabetes.
  6. define the factors associated with visual acuity at presentation in patients with tractional retinal detachment.
  7. discuss high resolution imaging using visible light optical coherence tomography (vis-OCT).
  8. summarize proteomic analysis of ocular samples of treatment-naive age-related macular degeneration.
  9. discuss the correlation between visual impairment, dementia and access to health care.
  10. classify the association between social determinants of health and vision loss.
  11. outline the way that deep learning can improve the identification of operable orbital fractures.
  12. characterize retinal oximetry changes in response to visual stimuli by visible light optical coherence tomography.
  13. outline racial and ethnic disparities in diabetic patients getting retinal imaging
  14. characterize spatial transcriptomic changes in giant cell arteritis
  15. discuss the impact of bidirectional learning on health literacy and ophthalmological care utilization among patients seeking eye care
  16. define a deep learning system that can detect referrable sickle cell retinopathy
  17. discuss how social determinants of health impact glaucoma disease severity and progression
