Overview

Examining the Clinical Potential of PARP Inhibitors in Prostate Cancer — a comprehensive educational initiative for community and academic oncologists, as well as urologists, advanced practitioners (NPs, PAs), clinical researchers, and other healthcare professionals interested in the management of prostate cancer. The online activity proposed in this grant leverages an existing educational platform which has been an important component of continuing medical education for JHU. This platform, called a Clinical Dialogue, is an engaging video-based format with synchronized slides that maximizes audience engagement and has a proven track record of generating positive outcomes.

Objectives
  1. Apply data from clinical trials regarding the use of PARP inhibitor mono- and combination therapy in care of patients with metastatic castrate resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
  2. Implement current genetic testing guidelines for PC and make appropriate clinical decisions across different PC genotypes.
  3. Use the current and potential future clinical practice implications of PARP inhibitors in PC, including patient selection and principles for management
