Overview
The RCDP Master Trainer course consists of an online and live component. Upon successful completion of the online course, attendees will be able to register for the on-site two-day immersive study in RCDP, to be held at the Johns Hopkins Medicine Simulation Center?s Simulation Hospital on the East Baltimore Campus. It will include small group work, team- and case-based learning activities, video review and discussion with expert trainers, and mentored practice in teaching RCDP?s training methods. Expert instructors will be on hand, coaching and mentoring learners through the process. The live event will also include implementation planning, where each attendee designs and presents how they will incorporate RCDP into their home programs. The implementation plan includes continued mentoring and reporting to a member of the Johns Hopkins RCDP team beyond completion of the live event. Successful completion of the RCDP Master Trainer Course results in attendee classification as a ?Certified RCDP Master Trainer.?

Objectives
Upon participating in this activity, the learner should be able to:

  1. Train providers how to teach using RCDP.
  2. Implement and develop using flagship training.
  3. Provide better informed and designed learner-centered training.
  4. Develop learning objectives for your RCDP session, incorporating standards and observable behaviors]
  5. Complete the “Pause-Prescribe-Replay” table with prescriptions specific to your RCDP course
  6. Examine how the mastery learning and experimental learning theories are incorporated in RCDP
