Overview

The Institute for Excellence in Education (IEE) and the Office of the Vice Dean for Education, the Master of Education in the Health Professions, JHUSOM Office of Faculty Development, and the Johns Hopkins Faculty Development Program at the Bayview Medical Center are happy to announce the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine IEE Summer Teaching Camp 2019. Teaching Camp will bring together outstanding educators of medical and biomedical students, residents, fellows and biomedical doctoral and postdoctoral candidates, and peers to share ideas, refine teaching techniques and learn new methods.

DESCRIPTION
This symposium will review health care transition guidelines and standards in order to provide an annual update to improve pediatric to adult transitions.

  6. Practice providing feedback on the key steps of self-regulated learning.
  7. Describe the ENGAGE framework for effective teaching of learners of different levels.
  8. List the key components of design thinking and describe how they can be used in mentoring.
  9. Describe the impact of implicit bias on the learning environment.
  10. Build teaching skills using Improv exercises.

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION STATEMENT
The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 13.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 13.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
