The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Annual Research Symposium addresses knowledge gaps in causes, mechanisms, and treatments of pediatric diseases, as well as determinants of childhood health.  National and International pediatric experts have been invited to discuss state-of-the-art diagnosis and management, and novel findings from original recent clinical and basic science research. This conference is exclusively intended for the employees and staff of Johns Hopkins and its affiliates.

Objectives
  1. Identify key resources in clinical/translational and basic research in child health and disease at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) and throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine.
  2. Describe examples of the application of genomics techniques such as whole exome/genome sequencing in children with rare syndromes/phenotypes that exhibit a Mendelian inheritance pattern.
  3. Recognize institutional goals for academic transformation of JHACH, which include building an academic culture of biomedical discovery and presenting new knowledge gained from basic and translational research.
