There is a need for an accredited Patient Safety Symposium for Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) with a series of presentations that are delivered by Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) faculty based on evidence from journals. These presentations will focus on providing consultation and insight into ways to improve overall quality of service, provide information to enhance the knowledge of the healthcare providers and the general public about new developments and updates in their respective fields. They also aim to showcase the opportunity for mentorship and further clinical work and collaborative research.

Objectives
  1. Identify and describe the culture of patient safety with clinical staff.
  2. Compare and contrast the risk assessment when identifying patient safety and clinical liability.
  3. Outline current advances in the awareness of risk assessment and limitation of liability.
  4. Differentiate between morbidity and mortality to identify the process of peer review.
  5. Practice and apply lessons learned to improve patient safety.
