This session will cover the presentation of challenging medical or traumatic cases to the Emergency Department. Sessions may include review of evidence-based medical literature pertinent to the approach, diagnosis, and management of the case, discussion of practice patterns and approaches, and discussion of challenges and outcomes faces by the participants of the cases. In some instances, a morbidity and mortality discussion will follow a systems-based approach to identifying the root cause of error.
