Objectives

  2. Explain the benefits of fixed-dose OADs and identify fixed-dose OADs that are newly emerging or in development.
  3. Describe how GLP-1 and basal insulin combinations manage prandial glycemic excursions.
  4. Identify conflicting evidence in macronutrient management and apply the information to individual patient situations.
  5. Describe the clinician-patient discrepancies in current attempts at patient-centered care.
  6. Discuss practice changes required to investigate patient-centered care.
