Teresa K. Chen, MD, MHS is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Associate Faculty at the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research.  She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, Nephrology fellowship at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a masters of health science (MHS) in Clinical Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. As a NIH-funded clinical investigator, Dr. Chen’s research aims to better understand the role of inflammation in chronic kidney disease progression. As a clinical nephrologist, Dr. Chen also enjoys taking care of patients with kidney disease.
