Juan A. Dumois, III, M.D. received his Medical Degree at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg in affiliation with the University of South Florida. His pediatric infectious diseases fellowship was completed at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. He currently holds an appointment as Affiliate Associate Professor of Pediatrics with the University of South Florida College of Medicine.

 

Dr. Dumois is the director of the International Adoption Clinic at All Children’s Hospital. He is involved regularly in the teaching of medical students and pediatric residents from USF, who have given him teaching awards 7 times. He received the Physician of the Year Clinical Award for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2016. He is currently collaborating with a national task force to improve the rapid diagnosis and treatment of encephalitis caused by Naegleria fowleri amoebae.
